Thanks From The Citizens Of Somalia

Jakarta – The assistance given the province of Riau on the famine that struck Somalia in 2011 and responded well by Somalia’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Mohamud Olow Barow. He thanked the villagers Petapahan, Riau Province.
“I thank you for our brothers the people of Riau, Village Petapahan. Assistance is intended for the people of Somalia are,” Mohamud said while talking to AFP at his office, Jl Mega Kuningan, Jakarta, Friday (02/03/2012).
In the last month of December 2011, representatives of village communities Petapahan, New York, went to the Embassy of Somalia to provide material assistance in the form of a sum of money. Assistance is provided to help the people of Somalia who were facing famine.
“Assistance is provided to 400 families. Each head of family received 50 kg of rice, 50 kg of flour, and cooking oil,” said Mohamud.
“I am also grateful for the NGO (non-governmental organization) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia which has always been helpful,” he continued.
In addition to thank you, Mohamud also expressed condolences over the death of a doctor from Indonesia, Dr. Karel Keiluhu Andreas, who was shot dead in Mogadishu. He explained that the perpetrators will be punished by death.
“The perpetrators have been arrested and would soon be put to death,” said the man who claimed to like wearing batik.
